Cycloplegic drug does not mean that it is a mydriatic drug? this is what i got from wikipedia: cycloplegic drugs are generally muscarinic receptor blockers. these include atropine, cyclopentolate and tropicamide.they are indicated for use in cycloplegic refractions and the treatment of uveitis. many cycloplegics are also mydriatic agents and are used as such during opthalmacopic examinations to better visualize the retina. from another website: a mydriatic is a drug that dilates the pupil. a cycloplegic paralyses the ciliary muscle (making it impossible to focus on near objects). mydriatic-cycloplegic drugs exert their effects by blockade of innervation to the sphincter pupillae and ciliary muscle. mydriatic drugs may be sympathomimetics or antimuscarinics but cycloplegia is only produced by antimuscarinics. and what did i wrote? ahahhaa, throughout the whole entire 3/4 page answer, i was writing about muscarinic receptors. and i drew a tiny digram to show the link. 13 marks? :/ so how? OMG! okay, let me just move on to contact lens and pathology. i'm gonna get serious brain cell hyperplasia. i dont know why, but i've developed AND ALL OF A SUDDEN, i want i want i wanttttt thisssssss!!!!!!!! huahuahauaha. okay, back to my contact lens notes. tsk!
